I BELIVE IT IS IMPORTANT TO TRUST THE CREATIVE PROCESS. AS A DESIGNER I LIKE TO BUILD THE CREATIVE DIALOGUE THAT CAN BRIDGE STRONGER DIRECTIONS TO TELLING A STORY THAT MOVES YOU IN NEW WAYS.

A look back :
Timeline// begin 1985. Art Director and Original Pro Team
rider @ Sims Snowboards, Santa Barbara. Transfered to Vision
sports in Newport Beach, as Art Director for Sims Snowboards
and Skateboards, also worked on Vision Skateboards projects.
Immersed in the hardcore Orange County Skate Culture. Met
David Carson at Surfer Publications we exchanged art. He
invited me to be part of the last and final issue of Beach
Culture. Left Southern California to start Morrow Snowboards
as Art Director in Salem Oregon. We changed the Visual Language
of Graphics and Advertising in Snowboarding. I started "blur"
Magazine. an entirely experimental book published quarterly
devoted to all experimental design works. Marvin Jarrett
publisher of Raygun saw the Morrow Snowboards work. he loved
it. Together Marvin and I started "Bikini" Magazine.
2 years later we started another project entitled "Stick",
a snowboarding mag. Neville Brody phones and asks me to
design a font for his experimental type project called "Fuse".
Marvin and I work well together. We started another project
entitled "Nylon", I designed the masthead and
prototype pages. still on the news stand. Met Tony Kaye,
famed director, I have been doing design and editing for
him ever since. For over 25 years I have been working throughout
the country + internationally with my studio doing design
and editing for companies like Johnson&Johnson, Ford,
Golden Artist Colors, Nike and many others. Great agencies
like avso, North, Supply and Demand, Fiction Tribe and many more. Just some, [not
all] of the hi-points.
//Many, Many Thx.
